LESSON 11: STEPS TO SALVATION

1. Can I by keeping the law of God be saved from sins I have committed? Romans 3:20; 7:13

2. Where must I go for cleansing from sin? 1 John 1:7

3. How then am I saved from sin and death? Ephesians 2:8, 9

4. What is the first step to reach salvation? Acts 16:31; John 3:36

5. When I recognize clearly that Jesus died for my sins, what will I want to do? Acts 2:37, 38; 3:19

6. What two things will true repentance cause me to do? Proverbs 28:13

7. What will God do when I confess my sins? 1 John 1:9; Hebrews 8:12

8. Then what will God give me? Ezekiel 36:26, 27

9. When I receive Christ and put Him in control of my life, what do I become? John 1:12, 13; 2 Corinthians 5:17

10. Who then lives in me and controls my life? What assurance can I have? Galatians 2:20;1 John 5:11-13

11. In John 10:10 Jesus promises not only life, but a more abundant life. (a) How can I begin to experience this? John 17:3 (b) When I experience this abundant life, what will I do? 1 John 2:6

12. I can receive the gift of eternal life and begin living the abundant life today. What has Jesus promised to do if I open the door of my heart? Revelation 3:20

My Decision: I want to open my heart to Jesus today. I believe in Jesus as my Savior who died to save me from my sins and certain death. I want to repent and confess my sins, receive the gift of eternal life and live the more abundant life daily through His power.

You can invite Jesus into your heart right now in prayer. Here is a suggested prayer: "Dear God, I need you. I am a sinner doomed to death. I thank you that Jesus loves me and died to give me eternal life. I want to accept this gift. I accept Jesus as Savior and Lord of my life. I repent of my sins. Please forgive and cleanse me. Take control of my life, abide in me, and give me power to follow and obey You till Jesus comes. In Jesus' name, Amen.
